The idea hit us—well, splashed us—at the mall. Our daughter Briar (5) ran through the fountains in her favorite dress and basic cotton shorts. What came next? A soggy, see-through, wrinkled mess that went straight in the trash.

We searched high and low for something better, but everything was the same—thin, cheap cotton that couldn’t keep up. And as two parents with 25 years in the apparel industry, we knew we could do better for our little girl. So we did.

The Bootie short is our love letter to girlhood—soft enough for snuggle time, tough enough for the playground, and versatile enough for school, gymnastics, soccer, dance, and everywhere else her endless energy takes her.

More than a product, Bootie is our promise to support healthy, confident girls in everything they do—and to make life a little easier for the families cheering them on. Because when she’s free to be herself, there's nothing she can't do.
